I was recently contacted by Packt Publishing about reviewing two new jQuery books:
The books are on their way and it will take me some time to review them. Once the reviews are posted, look for them on Amazon.com also. I’m excited to have a chance to look these over and share my thoughts. Ever since I started with jQuery I found that I could do more with less code and I can’t imagine using plain ol’ javascript anymore. At the end of the review, I’ll probably be giving the books away to a blog reader. Stay tuned!
Hey there,
I’m looking forward to reading your reviews! I should probably warn you up front that the books refer to version 1.1.x, and some of the API has changed with version 1.2 (removal of XPath Selectors, addition of some traversal, manipulation, ajax methods, etc.). I hope that won’t be too disappointing. Hopefully there will be enough other stuff, especially in Learning jQuery, to make the books worthwhile.
