For the last two years I’ve been a rower in the Dragonboat races during the Salem World Beat Festival. I got a memo yesterday that the Dragonauts wouldn’t be participating this year due to time constraints. I won’t miss the cold water, sore muscles, and sunburn; but I will miss the chance to compete with my co-workers in this very fast paced and fun sport. Here’s to hoping for next year.

Brinley got her shots yesterday and is still not feeling very good today. Poor girl.

While Brinley was napping, we soothed Alex, Caitlin, Soephi, and Lilli with some watermelon while watching Lilo and Stitch.

The hot Oregon weather prompted us to take the kids out to Silver Falls this weekend. Caitlin is our little water girl and would have stayed in the river all day if we let her. Here she is sporting her cool shades before we left.

My wife took the kids to the zoo on Friday, we hit the beach on Saturday, and went horseback riding on Sunday. Whew! I’m exhausted at work this morning. Here are a couple of pictures from the fun, with more in the photo gallery.
